Since developed, lazy loading has been a favorite for webmasters running large websites, vertically long pages, or displaying lots of images in just one page.
The technique relies on a viewport sniffing technique which can tell what the user's screen is displaying and its position on the page.
With this information in hand, the Devrama Image Lazyload plugin will allow only the visible elements to load, and defer the load of other page elements only to the moment they become visible on screen.
This not only saves bandwidth for the developer, but also loads the page much faster for users.
In case the user scrolls down or up the page, content is loaded and displayed normally using a simple fade effect.
The Devrama Lazyload plugin works only with images (not text), and can be applied to an entire page, or just a section (where the images will be outputted).
